Terms of use
Last updated: 24 October 2026
These terms cover Declutter ("the app"), made by Maciej Stosio, Poland ("I"). By using the app you agree to them.
Using the app
You may download and use the app free of charge for personal use, for as long as you like. A license removes the in-app reminders and is required for commercial use, meaning use by or on behalf of a business or organisation.
Licenses
- A license is for one person and may be activated on up to 5 Macs that person uses. You can move it between Macs by deactivating it in the app.
- A license is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It includes all updates within the major version you bought (for example 1.x). A future major version may be offered as a paid upgrade.
- Licenses are sold by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record, and their buyer terms apply to the purchase itself.
- Please don't share license keys publicly. Keys that are shared publicly or bought fraudulently may be disabled.
Your photos
The app only removes photos you choose, after macOS's confirmation, by moving them to Recently Deleted in Photos, where they can be restored for 30 days. You're responsible for checking what you remove and for keeping backups of photos that matter to you.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any loss of data or other damages arising from using it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by contract.
Third-party components
The app uses the EmbeddingGemma 2 model by Google under the Apache License 2.0, and other open-source components, whose licenses are included in the app.
Law
These terms are governed by Polish law. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country.
